A high-speed accident caused chaos in Kanpur on Sunday afternoon when a luxury Lamborghini car lost control on a busy road. The incident took place near Rev-3 Mall in the Gwaltoli area. According to reports, the car rammed into an auto-rickshaw and a motorcycle, leaving at least six people injured. The driver has been identified as Shivam Kumar Mishra, the son of a prominent tobacco tycoon.

How did the accident happen on VIP Road?

The crash occurred around 3:15 PM on VIP Road. Eyewitnesses reported that the Lamborghini, which had a Delhi registration number, was moving at a very high speed. The driver suddenly lost control of the vehicle.

First, the car hit an auto-rickshaw and then smashed into a parked Royal Enfield motorcycle. The impact was severe, and reports suggest the bike rider was thrown nearly 10 feet into the air. The car finally came to a halt after hitting an electric pole. The local police arrived quickly to control the situation as a crowd gathered at the spot.

Who is the accused and what action has been taken?

Police have identified the driver as 45-year-old Shivam Kumar Mishra. He is the son of KK Mishra, the owner of Banshidhar Exports Pvt Ltd. The luxury vehicle, valued between ₹3.5 to ₹5 Crore, has been seized by the police and is currently at the Gwal Toli police station.

An FIR has been registered against Shivam Mishra under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The charges include rash driving and acts endangering the life or personal safety of others. DCP (Central) Atul Kumar Srivastava stated that the police are examining CCTV footage to determine the exact speed of the car during the crash.
