Panic spread across the National Capital Territory on Monday morning after at least nine schools received bomb threat emails. The threatening messages arrived between 8:30 AM and 9:00 AM, warning that explosions would occur on the school premises at exactly 1:11 PM. Delhi Police and Bomb Disposal Squads quickly responded to the situation, conducting extensive searches at all locations before declaring the threats a hoax.

Schools Targeted and Emergency Response

School authorities acted swiftly upon receiving the emails, following standard operating procedures to ensure the safety of students and staff. Evacuations were carried out within 10 to 15 minutes, and parents were informed through official communication channels. While some schools resumed normal operations after the police clearance, others shifted to online classes for the day as a precaution.

The list of schools that received the threat includes prominent names from various parts of Delhi:

  • South Delhi: Loreto Convent, The Indian School, Cambridge School.
  • Rohini: Venkateshwar School, CM School, Bal Bharati Public School.
  • Other Areas: DTA School (INA), Jaspal Kaur Public School, Mata Jai Kaur Public School, Ahlcon International School.

Investigation and Future Threats

The email did not just target schools but also contained a threat against the Parliament, alleging a planned attack for February 13 at 1:11 PM. The Delhi Police is currently investigating the source of these emails and working to trace the IP addresses used by the senders. The Ministry of Home Affairs is also monitoring the situation closely to prevent any security lapses.

This incident follows a pattern of similar hoaxes reported in January 2026 and throughout the previous year. In the past, groups like “Terrorizers 111” had made ransom demands, and agencies are checking if any such demand was made in this fresh batch of emails. Security teams including dog squads and fire services have completed their anti-sabotage checks, confirming that no suspicious items were found.
