Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced special measures for cricket fans attending the India vs Namibia ICC T20 World Cup match. The game is set for February 12, 2026, at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. To make sure spectators can return home comfortably, metro services will be extended late into the night across all lines of the network.
Extended Timings and Extra Trips
The DMRC will be running approximately 76 extra train trips on February 12 to manage the post-match crowd. According to official protocols, the last train departures from terminal stations will be delayed by 1 to 2 hours. This means fans can expect metro services to remain active until 12:00 AM or 12:30 AM. Delhi Gate and ITO stations on the Violet Line will be the main entry and exit points for the stadium.
Ticketing and Security Guidelines
Commuters can travel using their regular Smart Cards, the DMRC Travel App, or WhatsApp ticketing. Metro fares are fixed between ₹20 and ₹80. Meanwhile, Delhi Police has shared a security advisory for fans heading to the match. Many items like laptops, cameras, power banks, and helmets are strictly banned inside the stadium. Also, road diversions will be in place from 6:00 PM to 11:30 PM near the venue.
