Why was the PMO renamed to Seva Teerth?
Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw explained that the name ‘Seva Teerth’ translates to “a place of service”. This new complex provides a modern workspace for the Prime Minister’s team, replacing the old setup in the South Block. The government views this change as a move away from colonial-era administration styles to a focus on public service and heritage.
