According to the weather department, the impact of this disturbance will be felt most on February 17 and 18. Light to moderate rain along with thunderstorms is predicted for the plains. The mountains are also expected to see a shift in weather conditions.
- States Affected: Rain alerts have been issued for Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, and Uttar Pradesh.
- Himalayan Region: Heavy rain and snowfall are expected in Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand until February 19.
- Wind Speed: Gusty winds ranging from 30 to 40 kmph may accompany the rain in these areas.
Temperature Fluctuations and Traffic Advisory
The minimum temperature is likely to rise by 2°C to 3°C over the next three days due to the increasing cloud cover. Currently, the maximum temperature in Delhi and UP is hovering between 28°C and 30°C. Residents are advised to be careful about their health, as the fluctuation between cool mornings and hot afternoons can lead to respiratory issues.
