Property buyers in Noida and Greater Noida have received a major relief from the administration regarding property registration. The Sub-Registrar offices will now remain open on Sundays and operate until late evening on weekdays. This decision specifically aims to help working professionals who often struggle to find time during regular office hours for legal paperwork. With this new system in place, you do not have to take a mandatory leave from your office just to get your property registry done.
What are the new timings for registry offices?
The administration has introduced a flexible schedule to manage the crowd and assist office-goers effectively. Under the new rules, one designated Sub-Registrar office will operate from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM from Monday to Saturday. This evening shift is ideal for those who finish their work late.
Additionally, offices will now open on Sundays on a rotation basis. The operating hours for Sundays are set from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. To ensure staff get their required rest, the offices will remain closed on the second and third Fridays of every month. For those planning to visit in the evening, online appointments for these slots can be booked between 1:00 PM and 7:00 PM via the IGRSUP portal.
How will this change benefit the public?
This move is designed for the working class, which makes up nearly 80% of the district’s population. It allows buyers to complete legal processes after their office hours or on weekends without stress. Currently, the district handles over 600 registries daily, with the Sector-33 office alone managing a bulk of the load. Extending the hours will reduce overcrowding and long wait times.
