The Bihar government has launched a special interstate bus service to assist passengers traveling home for the upcoming festive season. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, the Bihar State Road Transport Corporation (BSRTC) deployed these buses to manage the heavy rush seen during Holi and Eid. This special operation started on February 23, 2026, and will continue until March 23, 2026, covering major routes from Delhi, Haryana, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal.

Subsidized Ticket Prices and Routes

To make travel affordable for students and migrant workers, the state government is providing a heavy subsidy on ticket fares. The prices are significantly lower than private operators, with savings ranging between ₹500 and ₹1,100 per ticket. A total of 200 buses, including AC Deluxe and Sleeper coaches, are running on these routes.
