The Uttar Pradesh government has cleared the path for a massive Aircraft Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) hub near the Noida International Airport in Jewar. During Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s visit to Singapore in February 2026, SIA Engineering Company (SIAEC) showed interest in building this ecosystem. This facility will allow airlines to service their planes locally instead of flying them to Dubai or Singapore for repairs.
Major Investment and Budget for the Project
The state government has taken several steps to ensure the success of this aviation hub. A budget of ₹750 crore was allocated for the 2026-27 period to handle land acquisition and initial construction work. During the Singapore visit, an MoU worth ₹4,458 crore was also signed with Air India SATS for a dedicated cargo campus and air catering unit at the airport site.
- Land Allocation: YEIDA has earmarked 1,365 hectares of land specifically for the MRO and aviation cluster.
- Policy Incentives: The government is offering GST reimbursements and capital subsidies to attract global companies.
- AISATS MoU: A ₹4,458 crore investment for cargo and catering infrastructure.
Manufacturing Hub for Boeing and Airbus
The vision for Jewar goes beyond simple repairs. The government plans to establish an Aviation Manufacturing Cluster where parts for major aircraft makers like Boeing and Airbus can be manufactured and assembled. To support global experts and investors, a Singapore City township will be developed near the airport area.

The trial run for aircraft at the Noida International Airport is expected to start in March 2026. The MRO facility is aimed to become operational alongside the airport to save foreign exchange and create thousands of local jobs in Western Uttar Pradesh.
