Commuters in South Delhi might face heavy traffic congestion this weekend due to a large religious gathering. The Delhi Traffic Police has issued a specific advisory in view of the Radha Soami Satsang Beas event scheduled at the Bhati Mines Complex. The authorities expect a massive footfall of around 3 to 4 lakh devotees from March 6 to March 8, 2026, which will heavily impact road movement in the Chhattarpur and Mehrauli areas.
Which roads will remain affected?
The traffic flow will remain heavy on Chhattarpur Road (SSN Marg), Bhati Mines Road, Mandi Road, and the Mehrauli-Gurugram stretch. The restrictions will apply daily from 04:00 AM to 08:00 PM. To manage the rush, Heavy Transport Vehicles (HTVs) are completely banned on Bhati Mines Road between SSN Marg and the Gurgaon Road T-Point during these hours.
If you usually travel through these routes, it is better to plan your journey in advance. The police have advised the general public to avoid SSN Marg and Bhati Mines area during the event hours or utilize the Delhi Metro to avoid surface-level gridlock.
