What are the key features of the new Ring Metro?

The completion of this section connects the entire loop of the Pink Line, which now spans 71.56 km. This new corridor includes 10 stations, eight of which are elevated. With the ring now complete, the line offers 11 interchange stations, allowing passengers to switch to every other major Delhi Metro line without entering the busy central zones.

Additionally, the project includes the fifth metro bridge over the Yamuna river. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta stated that this expansion will reduce road congestion significantly and help in the vision of a developed Delhi.

  • Maximum Fare: ₹64 for journeys exceeding 32 km.
  • Sunday/Holiday Fares: Special rates ranging from ₹11 to ₹54.
  • Smart Card Benefits: A standard 10% discount applies to every trip. An extra 10% off is available during off-peak hours (before 8 AM, 12 PM–5 PM, and after 9 PM).

Alongside the inauguration, the Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone for three new corridors under Delhi Metro Phase-V (A). The total investment for these infrastructure upgrades stands at approximately ₹18,300 crore.
