Who is eligible for the Mukhyamantri Maawan-Dheeyan Satkar Yojana?

The scheme is designed to cover nearly 97 percent of the adult female population in Punjab. The eligibility criteria and financial benefits are structured as follows:

  • General Category Women: Every woman aged 18 years and above will receive 1,000 rupees per month.
  • SC and BC Category Women: Women belonging to Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes will receive a higher monthly assistance of 1,500 rupees.
  • Pensioners: Women who are already receiving old-age, widow, or disability pensions are also eligible for this additional amount.
  • Age Limit: All women aged 18 and above residing in Punjab can apply.

Registration dates and important exclusion rules

The government has set specific dates for the enrollment process and clarified who cannot apply for this financial help. The registration process will officially begin on Baisakhi, which is April 13, 2026. Payments will be sent directly to verified bank accounts through the Direct Benefit Transfer system. The following categories of people are not eligible to apply:

The state administration has warned the general public to be careful of fake registration links and messages circulating on social media.
