Modernization Plans and New Equipment for Delhi Fire Service
The government plans to add four new fire stations and six additional Bronto Skylift platforms to reach high-rise buildings efficiently. There is a strong focus on improving response times in narrow lanes and slum settlements where large fire trucks often face difficulties entering. A new command-and-control network will also replace the old communication systems to ensure better coordination during emergencies. Home Minister Ashish Sood also highlighted the plan to establish 100 permanent stations for small fire vehicles in less accessible areas.

From this, a significant portion was used for buying new equipment and 24 quick response vehicles were added to the fleet. Authorities are also working on restructuring the department following an audit approved by the Lieutenant Governor in 2025.
