How the Delhi Police Metro Unit identified the girl
During a routine patrol at Anand Vihar Metro Station, Head Constable Adarsh and Women Constable Sunita noticed a teenage girl sitting alone and crying. Recognizing she was in distress, the officers approached her to offer help. Although she was initially hesitant and nervous, the woman constable managed to calm her down and gain her trust. After a brief conversation, she shared her identity and home address with the police team.
Reason behind leaving home and police action
The investigation revealed that the girl had been under significant mental stress due to study pressure for the last few days. Because of this stress, she left her house around 4 AM without informing her family members. DCP (Metro) B. Bharat Reddy stated that the police team immediately contacted her father, who confirmed she had gone missing from home. After completing the necessary legal formalities, she was safely handed over to her family.
