Commuters in Delhi heading towards Shadipur are facing a tough time today. A pipeline leakage has led to a significant pothole at Shadipur Chowk, right near the Shadipur Flyover. The Delhi Traffic Police has warned that this will affect the PUSA to Shadipur Flyover route, making the commute much slower than usual for several hours while repairs are conducted.

Key Details of the Traffic Disruption
Repair work is being carried out by the concerned civic agency to fix the leakage and the resulting road damage. This work has forced the closure of two lanes on the PUSA towards Shadipur Flyover carriageway. According to the official advisory, the restrictions are in place from 05:00 PM today, April 7, and will remain active until 08:00 AM tomorrow morning, April 8. Drivers are strongly advised to avoid Patel Road during this period to prevent long delays.
Recommended Alternative Routes
To avoid getting stuck in the heavy traffic, commuters moving towards Kirti Nagar should follow the traffic police’s suggested diversion. You can take a left turn from the Pusa Roundabout (R/A Pusa) towards Todapur. Follow the Dev Prakash Shastri Marg and then go through Naraina. This route will help you bypass the bottleneck at Shadipur Chowk. Travelers are requested to plan their journeys in advance to avoid any inconvenience during the night and early morning hours.
