The Uttar Pradesh Housing and Development Board (UPAVP) has officially started the land allotment process for the new Ayodhya Greenfield Township. This massive project covers 1407 acres along the Saryu River and is located just 4.5 km from the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple. The board is now handing over plots for state guest houses, hotels, and residential areas to develop the city for future visitors.

Which states and hotels got the land?

Several states have already secured land to build their guest houses in this new township. Plots have been allotted to Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, and Uttarakhand. Arunachal Pradesh has also sent a formal request for land. Apart from government buildings, the board has allotted 9 plots for hotels and 21 plots for mutts and ashrams. This move is aimed at improving the stay experience for the increasing number of pilgrims and tourists visiting Ayodhya.

What are the residential plot prices?

For common people looking to buy a home here, the board has started sending allotment letters to the first batch of 300 successful applicants. The project is registered under UP RERA, ensuring transparency in the process. The estimated prices for residential plots are as follows:

  • 100 sq. m Plot: Approximately ₹42.33 Lakh
  • 150 sq. m Plot: Approximately ₹63.28 Lakh
  • 200 sq. m Plot: Approximately ₹82.23 Lakh

These prices include a 12% freehold charge and other fees like sewer and water charges. Buyers need to pay about ₹88,000 for e-stamps during the initial agreement phase.

How is the construction work progressing?

The development work on the site is moving at a very fast pace. The board has taken physical possession of 720 acres out of the total area. Construction of main trunk roads, drains, and power sub-stations is currently underway on a war footing. The township is being developed as a Solar City with underground utilities and a special Green-Blue Corridor linked to the river, making it a modern and sustainable place to live.
