A 38-year-old IT engineer named Vijay Sarup, who was visiting from Bengaluru, was found dead inside the bathroom of his hotel room. The staff entered the room after his colleagues raised an alarm when he did not answer phone calls or come out for a long time.

Vijay Sarup had arrived in Gurugram on Tuesday, January 27, for business work along with a group of nine colleagues. On the day of the incident, his colleagues went out for work while he decided to stay back in the room. The hotel staff became concerned when he did not check out by the afternoon deadline. Upon entering the room, they found his body on the commode in the bathroom. Police confirmed there were no visible signs of struggle or external injuries on the body.
Police Investigation and Action
The Sector 29 Police Station has taken charge of the situation and started an investigation. Preliminary medical assessments suggest that the engineer might have suffered a sudden heart attack. The body was sent to the civil hospital for a post-mortem examination to confirm the exact cause. Police are also reviewing CCTV footage from the hotel corridors as per standard protocol.
