The formal opening of the Delhi-Dehradun Greenfield Highway has been rescheduled to the first or second week of April 2026. It features a unique 12-kilometer elevated corridor through Rajaji National Park, equipped with special yellow lighting to protect wildlife. Current Progress and Inauguration Venue
The inauguration ceremony is likely to take place at the Forest Research Institute in Dehradun. NHAI has already made significant progress, with the stretch from Khekra to the Saharanpur bypass being ready for use. For the Prime Minister’s visit, multiple helipads have been built near the Ganeshpur toll plaza and additional ones are being constructed on the Dehradun side. While the main carriageway is mostly complete, workers are finishing the painting and cleaning tasks along the route.
