What are the benefits of Lakhpati Bitiya Yojana?

This new scheme replaces the older Ladli Scheme to provide substantial financial security to daughters in Delhi. Under this plan, the government deposits a total of ₹56,000 to ₹61,000 in phased installments into the girl child’s account. These deposits occur at key milestones like birth and admission to various school classes.

Upon completing graduation or reaching the age of 21, the beneficiary receives a maturity amount of approximately ₹1.25 lakh. The funds are managed by SBI Life Insurance. To be eligible, a family must have resided in Delhi for at least three years, have an annual income below ₹1.20 lakh, and the scheme is valid for up to two daughters per family.

How does the Pink Card and Free LPG Scheme work?

The new Pink National Common Mobility Card replaces paper tickets for women traveling in DTC buses. While it allows free travel on buses, it also functions as a smart card wallet for paid travel on the Delhi Metro and Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS). These cards are available at over 50 centers, including Airtel Payments Bank counters, after Aadhaar-linked verification.

Regarding the festival promise, the Chief Minister confirmed that the subsidy for the free Holi LPG cylinder has been transferred. The market price of the cylinder is credited directly to the bank accounts of eligible ration card holders via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), covering nearly 1.55 million families.
