A tragic incident took place in the Moti Nagar police station area on Sunday evening causing panic in the locality. A 16-year-old student lost his life, and a 25-year-old youth was seriously injured after a stabbing incident occurred in DLF Park. The local police reached the spot immediately after receiving information and have registered a murder case to begin the investigation.

Details of the Incident at DLF Park

The incident happened between 5:30 PM and 6:00 PM on February 8, 2026. According to police reports, the victims identified as Javed and Danish were attacked with knives by unknown persons. Both victims suffered knife wounds on their backs.

Javed, who was a Class 9 student and a resident of Zakhira Amar Park, was declared dead by doctors when taken to the hospital. The other victim, Danish, is currently fighting for his life at the AIIMS Trauma Center where his condition remains serious.

Police Investigation and Current Status

Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) Sharad Bhaskar Darade confirmed that the police are investigating the matter from every possible angle to catch the culprits. Teams are currently scanning CCTV footage from the nearby areas to identify the attackers and understand the sequence of events.

The motive behind this fatal attack is not yet clear to the investigators. Family members of the deceased stated that Javed was good at his studies and did not have any known disputes with anyone. As per the latest updates from the last 24 hours, no arrests have been made yet, but efforts are on to nab the accused.
