The Delhi Police Crime Branch has arrested two weapon smugglers associated with the notorious Himanshu alias Bhau gang. The operation took place near Baba Haridas Nagar after a gunfight on the night of January 22 and 23, 2026. The arrested individuals, identified as Vicky alias Mogli and Chander Bhan, were reportedly planning a major criminal event in the capital before they were intercepted by the police team.

How the Encounter and Arrests Took Place

The police team received a tip about the gang members entering Delhi to execute a crime. When the officers tried to stop a car on the Hirankudna-Dichaon Kalan road, the suspects started firing. In self-defense, the police returned fire, resulting in a bullet injury to Vicky alias Mogli’s leg. One bullet also hit a head constable’s bulletproof jacket, but he remained unhurt. Following the encounter, the police also arrested two suppliers named Yamin Khan and Satish Kumar from Aligarh and Gautam Buddha Nagar based on the information provided by the initial suspects.

Criminal Background and Recovered Items

Vicky alias Mogli has been involved in criminal activities since 2012 and had a reward of 5,000 rupees on his head from the Haryana Police. Both suspects face multiple charges, including murder, attempt to murder, and extortion.
