A shocking incident has come to light where a Delhi Police SWAT commando, Kajal Chaudhary, was brutally murdered by her own husband. Kajal passed away on the morning of January 27, 2026, after fighting for her life for five days in a Ghaziabad hospital. Her husband, Ankur Chaudhary, who works as a clerk in the Ministry of Defense, has been arrested by the police. The post-mortem report revealed that Kajal was four months pregnant when she was attacked.
Why did Ankur kill his wife Kajal?
The investigation has revealed very disturbing details about the reason behind this murder. The family alleges that Ankur was involved in illegal activities, including a paper leak case and a suspicious death in Meerut. Kajal had reportedly warned him that she might expose his involvement in these illegal works, which made him fearful for his career. On the night of January 22, Ankur attacked her with a heavy metal dumbbell while she was talking to her brother on the phone. He even told her brother to record the call as he was going to kill her.
What were the other reasons for the dispute?
Apart from the fear of exposure, the victim’s family has shared details about domestic abuse and harassment. It is alleged that Kajal’s father-in-law and sister-in-law used to taunt her frequently about her physical appearance and complexion. There was also significant financial pressure on Kajal. Reports suggest she had taken a loan of Rs 10 lakh and given half of it to Ankur. She was also paying the installments for his car and had purchased jewelry worth Rs 15 lakh for his brother’s wedding.
