A heartbreaking incident has come to light from the Surya Vihar area of Faridabad, where a young man ended his life on Wednesday night. The man, identified as Nisar, committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence. Before taking this extreme step, he made a WhatsApp video call to his family group to apologize for his actions. His wife rushed to the spot to save him but failed to enter the house in time due to a locked iron door.
What Happened During the Video Call?
Nisar was alone at his home while his second wife, Tamanna, was visiting her parents nearby. Late at night, Nisar initiated a video call with his brother, sister, and uncle. During the conversation, he started apologizing to everyone, which alarmed his family members. They immediately alerted Tamanna, who ran back to their house to stop him.
Upon reaching the house, Tamanna found the main iron door locked from the inside. She desperately tried to convince Nisar to open the door, crying and swearing oaths to stop him from harming himself. However, the strong door prevented her entry. By the time other family members arrived and managed to break into the room, Nisar had already passed away.
Reason Behind the Extreme Step
Nisar worked at a local hair salon and had been living with his second wife for about two years. According to his brother Irshad, Nisar was under severe mental stress due to an ongoing conflict with his first wife. His first wife has been living separately at her parents’ home for the last five years.
The brother revealed that there is an ongoing court case regarding maintenance allowance (alimony) between Nisar and his first wife. The financial and emotional pressure from this long-standing dispute had left Nisar deeply disturbed, which the family believes led him to take this tragic step.
Police Response and Investigation
Following the incident, a dispute arose regarding the police response time. The victim’s brother alleged that the police team arrived at the scene 1.5 hours after being informed. However, officials from the Palla Police Station denied these claims, stating that their team reached the location within 10 minutes of receiving the call.
The police have taken custody of the body and sent it for a post-mortem examination. They are currently investigating the case to understand if there was any direct abetment to suicide or if the legal pressure was the sole cause.
