The investigation into the tragic death of three sisters in Ghaziabad has brought new details to light. Pakhi, Prachi, and Nishika died after falling from the 9th-floor balcony of their flat in Bharat City Society on February 4. The police are now looking closely at the family environment, as the father, Chetan Kumar, lived with three wives who are biological sisters in the same house.
What Was Written in the Personal Diary?
Police recovered an 18-page diary from the room where the girls stayed. The notes revealed that the sisters identified themselves as “Koreans trapped in Indian bodies.” They even used aliases like Maria, Aliza, and Cindy for themselves. The writings expressed deep sadness about not being able to visit Korea.
The Forensic Science Laboratory is currently analyzing the handwriting to confirm which sister wrote the notes. A suicide note addressed to their father was also found, which simply said, “Sorry Papa, READ NOW.”
Financial Trouble and Missing Phones
The father, Chetan Kumar, is a forex trader who is reportedly facing a debt of nearly ₹2 crore due to losses. Initially, he told the police that he confiscated the girls’ mobile phones because they were addicted to them. However, police investigations found that he had actually sold the phones shortly before the incident.
The Cyber Cell is now tracking these sold devices using IMEI numbers to recover any digital data. Police have ruled out the involvement of any online task-based game like “Blue Whale” and are focusing on financial distress and domestic isolation as the main causes.
Family History and Education Status
Officials discovered that the girls had not attended school for approximately two years. The eldest sister had only completed her education up to the 4th standard, while the younger ones stopped at 3rd and 2nd standard. The police are also re-examining an old case from 2015 involving the father.
- 2015 Case: A former live-in partner of Chetan Kumar died after falling from a terrace in Sahibabad.
- Family Structure: Chetan lived with three sisters (Sujata, Heena, and Tina) as his wives.
- Victims: Nishika was Sujata’s daughter, while Prachi and Pakhi were Heena’s daughters.
