A shocking incident has emerged from Gurugram involving a 19-year-old biotechnology student from Tripura. The young woman was brutally assaulted by her live-in partner at a paying guest accommodation in Sector 69. The severity of the assault forced doctors to refer her to AIIMS in Delhi for advanced medical care. Police have arrested the accused, identified as Shivam, following the violent episode.

The incident reportedly took place late at night between February 18 and 19, 2026. The couple was staying at “Great PG” located in Sector 69. According to police reports, an argument started over an undisclosed issue which quickly turned violent. Shivam, also 19 years old and a resident of Delhi, physically assaulted the victim inside their room.
Gurugram Police received information about the disturbance and reached the location. They took Shivam into custody from the spot. After initial questioning, he was formally arrested on Friday, February 20. The police are currently probing what triggered the sudden violence between the couple.

The victim sustained multiple serious injuries during the attack. She was first taken to a nearby hospital in Gurugram for emergency aid. However, seeing the critical nature of her wounds, the medical team referred her to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi. She is currently receiving specialized treatment there.
