Delhi Police has tightened security across the national capital for Hanuman Jayanti on April 2, 2026. Following reports of minor tension in Tughlakabad and Jahangirpuri, authorities have implemented a multi-layered security plan. The police intervened in Tughlakabad near a mosque to manage a situation during a procession, while in Jahangirpuri, some people were detained for attempting to take out a rally without official permission. This heightened vigilance follows a high alert issued after the arrest of a Lashkar-e-Taiba operative recently.
