Komaki Electric Vehicles has launched its second lithium battery manufacturing plant in Udyog Vihar, Gurgaon. This new facility covers 40,000 square feet and represents a ₹30 crore investment by the company. The plant is designed to manufacture 1.2 lakh batteries annually to support the brand’s growing range of electric scooters and bikes. This expansion makes it one of the largest integrated EV battery units in North India.

The new facility is currently set to manufacture 10,000 batteries per month. Safety and Battery Technology Focus
Komaki has decided to focus exclusively on LFP and LMFP cell technologies because they offer better thermal stability and are fire-resistant. These batteries are better suited for the Indian climate and provide faster charging options for users. With a life cycle of 2,500 cycles, these battery systems ensure a lower total cost of ownership for common buyers. Co-founder Gunjan Malhotra mentioned that this plant is a major step toward building a self-reliant EV ecosystem in India.
