When will flights start and what are the conditions?

Now that the licensing process is complete, the Uttar Pradesh government is looking to formally inaugurate the airport between March 23 and March 25, 2026. Actual flight operations for domestic passengers and cargo services are expected to start within 45 days, which places the timeline around the end of April or early May. International flights are planned to commence later in the year, with a target set for September 2026. The approval comes with a condition that the permanent boundary wall must be completed within six months, while the CISF will manage the security.

The airport is geared up to handle significant traffic in its first phase with modern infrastructure. Airline companies like IndiGo, Air India, and Akasa Air are preparing their schedules for this new hub.
