Why did the fight start at the society gate?

The conflict began when the delivery executive, Gajendra, attempted to enter the society through Gate Number 6. This specific lane is reserved exclusively for residents’ vehicles. Security guards Yogesh Kumar and Rahul followed the society protocols and asked him to use the designated lane for visitors and delivery personnel.

This refusal led to a heated verbal argument. Gajendra left the spot initially but returned about 10 to 15 minutes later with two to three associates. They were armed with sticks and sharp-edged objects. The group attacked the guards, causing minor injuries to Rahul and severe head trauma to Yogesh.

What action has the Noida Police taken?

Following the assault, the Kosmos Apartment Owners Association (AOA) Secretary filed a complaint at the Expressway Police Station. SHO Amit Kumar Khari confirmed that an FIR has been registered under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), specifically for voluntarily causing hurt with dangerous weapons and criminal intimidation.

Police acted swiftly and arrested Gajendra, who has since been sent to jail. The authorities are currently using mobile data and electronic surveillance to trace the other suspects involved in the attack. AOA President Arvind Bhardwaj stated that strict action is necessary to ensure the safety of security staff in high-rise societies.
