The central government has cleared the budget for this 11.6 km long corridor, which will help thousands of daily commuters avoid traffic jams on the expressway.

What are the key features of this project?
The new line will be built by the Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) and is expected to be ready within four years, targeting completion around 2030. The total estimated cost for this development is ₹2,254 crore. This extension will function as a vital link for people living in sectors along the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway.
- Route: Sector 142 to Botanical Garden (Noida)
- Length: 11.6 km (approx)
- Stations: 8 new elevated stations
- Timeline: 4 years for completion
How will this help the common man?
This extension solves a major problem for commuters who currently use buses or autos to reach the Delhi Metro network. With this new link, the Botanical Garden station will become a major hub connecting three different lines. Passengers will be able to switch easily between the Aqua Line, the Blue Line going to Dwarka, and the Magenta Line going to Janakpuri West.
This seamless connectivity means people can travel from Greater Noida to Central and South Delhi without leaving the metro network. The government believes this will also reduce the number of vehicles on the road, helping to control pollution and traffic congestion in the NCR region.
