On Saturday afternoon, a grim discovery was made in Noida when police found two bodies inside a parked car. The incident took place within the limits of the Sector 39 police station near Pillar No. 84 on Dadri Road. The deceased, a man and a woman, were found with gunshot wounds, and police have initiated an investigation into the matter to understand exactly what happened on Valentine’s Day.
Initial Police Findings and Evidence
According to the police reports, a passerby noticed the vehicle around 1:00 PM and immediately alerted the authorities. Upon arrival, officers found a white Tata Altroz which was locked from the inside. Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Manisha Singh confirmed that both individuals had sustained gunshot injuries to their heads. A pistol was recovered from the man’s hand, leading investigators to treat this primarily as a case of murder-suicide. Forensic teams have collected crucial evidence from the spot, including empty cartridges, to aid the ongoing probe.
Identities and Possible Motive
The deceased have been identified as Sumit (32) from Trilokpuri, Delhi, and Rekha (26) from Salarpur, Noida. Both individuals had been reported missing by their families since the previous day. Police recovered a note from the scene in which the man mentioned a long-standing relationship of 15 years. The note reportedly indicated distress over the woman’s plans to marry someone else.
