How the Incident Unfolded in Balaji Nagar

The crime took place between 6:00 AM and 7:00 AM in a rented house where the deceased was staying. Manmohan Pandey reached the Balaji Nagar Colony and first rang the doorbell of the house. As soon as the victim’s partner, Brajdeep, opened the door, Manmohan threw acid on him. This sudden attack left Brajdeep with severe burns on his face and upper body.

After attacking Brajdeep, the accused entered the house and used a sharp weapon to slit his wife Aarti’s throat. Aarti had been living separately from her husband for the last six months as a divorce case was pending in the court. The police confirmed that the attack was a result of a long-standing personal dispute and the husband’s anger over his wife living with another man.

Current Status and Police Action Taken

During the violent struggle, Brajdeep tried to defend himself and Aarti by hitting Manmohan with bricks and kicks. This resulted in the accused husband getting seriously injured during the scuffle. Currently, both the accused Manmohan and the injured Brajdeep are admitted to the Government Medical College in Shahjahanpur where they are receiving medical care under police surveillance.
